Happy holidays to one and all.
Are you satisfied with your online performance for 2007? Did things go as planned? Did you even plan? Do you have a business plan?
I am asking these "provocative" questions to get you to thinking. If you are satisfied with this year's results, keep doing what you've been doing. If not, maybe take a step back and do a reckoning of how your online business is doing (actually, it's good to do a reckoning in any event). Sometimes we get swept along with what we're doing even if it may not be the most profitable thing to do or even if we're doing it not quite the right way.
Have you been focusing on doing one online project at a time? Or do you keep getting sidetracked by new and exciting offers that land in your inbox? Man, just downloading all those freebie gifts that come this time of year takes hours! If you haven't worked that into the schedule you can be totally thrown off (like what is happening to me!!!).
There is so much going on out there. So many new products to check out. We need to set aside specific time in our schedule to keep abreast of what's going on in the world of Internet Marketing. But by no means let this completely take over your day. It's so easy for that to happen.
If you make any new year's resolutions at all, let one of them be that you will strive to focus on one project at a time. And plan, plan, plan. It's too "easy" not to plan. But that can cause us to waste mounds of time.
These are my thoughts at the close of 2007.
Now, for some Holiday cheer.
Go watch this video made by Andy Jenkins from Stompernet. He's going to give you a new piece of software totally FREE. It's called Scrutinizer and will helpyou look at your website with a new pair of eyes - eyes that help you see whatyour visitors see. Then you will be able to make changes in layout in order toincrease your conversions. The video is only 6 minutes long. It's cute and tells you exactly how to get the software.
Also, if you are interested in learning how to triple your conversions, go watch Andy's free Stompernet video on how to do that. It's an excellent and eye opening video.
Once again, Happy holidays to everyone!!

Free Lesson From Yaro Starak's Blog Mastermind
You may remember that I did a review of Yaro Starak's Blog Mastermind membership.
I am happy to be able to provide you today with a freebie lesson from the Blog Mastermind. Yaro is closing the membership to new members on Moday, December 10th. He has made this lesson available so that you can have a read or a listen to the audio and see if you think this membership is for you. The lesson is number 11 in his series of 27 lessons and the topic is "Traffic to Your Blog".
I was a member of the Blog Mastermind for 4 months. Every week Yaro would send out a lesson on such topics as Traffic, Podcasting, RSS, Social Networking, SEO for blogs, Blog Monetization etc. etc. Each lesson is provided in both text form and audio. There is quite alot of content in each lesson and Yaro gives lots of homework too. In addition to the lessons Yaro provides tons of other stuff like case studies of members' blogs and all kinds of other audios of blogging experts in the industry. The amount of information in the membership is staggering.
The Mastermind takes the novice blogger and slowly but surely turns him/her into an experienced, money making blogger. This mastermind is for people who are interested in building a serious blog which becomes an "authority" site. Not quickie "splogs" for just pushing products. Yaro teaches you how to build your blog the right way so that when you get to the monetization step, you do it right and people wind up buying from you.
I highly recommend that you check out this free lesson if you have any desires or plans to become a blogger. If you like Yaro's style you can sign up to the mastermind. He even provides a 30 day, money back guarantee.

Mark Hendricks' 12 Days of Christmas
Well, it's that time of year again.
Business slows down and people are busy giving/receiving gifts and good wishes.
Internet Marketer Mark Hendricks has an amazing product giveaway (the 12 Days of Christmas) every year at about this time. What he does is giveaway freebies every other day the few weeks before Christmas.
He's got high quality stuff available for download and I recommend going over there, signing up and starting to receive your gifts.
And now, if you would like to have a smile and maybe even a laugh at yourself/ourselves/the whole Internet Marketing Industry - have a peek at this special Christmas video that my buddy Kevin Riley put on Youtube a few days ago. He has this DISCLAIMER about watching the video: The Product Creation Labs (that's Kevin) will not be held liable for any coffee, eggnog, or other drinks spewed all over your keyboard, or coming out your nose.

Kevin Riley's Recipe for Plucking Low Hanging Fruit
How many times do I have to tell you that Kevin Riley is one of my all time favorite marketers? I'm sorry if you are tired of hearing it, but it's just true. The guy is personable, funny and real, real SMART. He creates excellent products that probably have a zero refund rate.
Kevin recently released another winning product that I want to tell you about today.
The product is called Recipe for Plucking Low Hanging Fruit.
What it's all about is taking newbie marketers by the hand and teaching them how to make a living online without a website, list or product. Yes, you read right. He will teach you how to set up your own MPO's - Money Pumping Oilwells - that will bring you in a steady stream of income month after month. He will teach you how to pick the right keywords which are low competition, highly searched upon and which lead to a sale. How to write articles (yup, bum marketing at its best) and where to submit them for the best results. All of Kevin's recipes are very clearly written with lots of clear instructions and great graphics. Good information from beginning to end.
Information that can help YOU earn money.
Download this free report to learn about Plucking Low Hanging Fruit.
In short, he teaches you how to go about affiliate marketing the RIGHT WAY. The way that means the least work and the most profits for you.
5 Stars to Kevin Riley's Recipe for Plucking Low Hanging Fruit.

Meme, Anyone?
I got 'tagged" recently by my buddy Grizzly Brears, one of my favorite bloggers.
He posted in his blog about this "meme" that's going around the blogosphere.
This is how it works. He asked me 5 questions (that someone had asked him):
5 Questions about the ONLINE YOU…
1. How long have you been blogging?
2. What inspired you to start a blog and who are your mentors?
3. Are You trying to make money online, or just doing it for fun?
4. Tell me 3 things you LOVE about being online.
5. Tell me 3 things you STRUGGLE with in the online world.
I am supposed to answer these questions on MY blog and then post a comment back on Grizzly Brear's blog. Then he will come by and see my responses to his questions. I, in turn am supposed to tag a few other bloggers and invite them to join in by answering these questions and tagging a few other bloggers.
Can you see where this is going? This is a nice way of sending link love to the people I tag.
Each one will get a link from me just like I've received one from Grizzly.
Simple to play - I want to learn about my blogging buddies, so simply tell me more about you and your blog. In the post that you create, reference this post and then tag 5 of your blogging friends. If you don’t know who to tag, why not tag a blog that interests you as a way of getting some link love and finding more about that blog.
So, here are my answers to the questions:
1. How long have you been blogging?
I started blogging in August 2006.
2. What inspired you to start a blog and who are your mentors?
The first real "how to make money" book I read was Holly Mann's Honest Riches. (See my review here). In the book she described how easy is to set up a blog on blogger and promote affiliate products. So, I figured, "What the heck" and I set up my first Blogger blog. I soon really got into it and started to enjoy communicating with the IM community. It was especially exciting when I started to see traffic coming to the blog!
My mentors, hmmm, I would have to say that Dr. Mani is number one in my book. I blogged about him in a recent post. He is unbelievably helpful to everyone. Craig Desorcy from www.Wehelpnewbies.com is also a mentor of mine.
Roger Zimmerman from www.pickaguru.com was very helpful to me when I was just starting out.
3. Are You trying to make money online, or just doing it for fun?
I am in this for the money. I do enjoy blogging, especially about the topics that really interest me - health, weight loss etc., but ultimately it's about the money.
4. Tell me 3 things you LOVE about being online.
I love meeting really nice people from all over the world. Spending time on forums is fun for me.
I love creating stuff. It's exciting to have an idea and go through the stages of bringing it to life.
I love the money.
And, I LOVE not going in to my job anymore!
5. Tell me 3 things you STRUGGLE with in the online world.
I struggle with all the technical aspects. I HATE technical stuff.
I struggle having to keep up with all the new technologies. I hate having to buy every new ebook just to know what's flying.
I struggle with not letting my online hours encroach on my family life. I have 5 kids and not too much computer time. Sigh.
Now, lets see who I should tag.
1. Dr. Mani's Money, Power and Wisdom blog. Dr. Mani is a pediatric heart surgeon who is one of the nicest and most productive infopreneurs online. Great blog, full of original stuff and lots on making money online.
2. Ryan Ambrose, from Financial Self Reliance, has a nice, upbeat blog for people who are interested in reading "thoughts from a student of online home business". http://www.financial-self-reliance.net/fsrblog/index.php/
3. DotmySpot is a good blog by someone who is making nice money from blogging. All the financial information about income is right there for everyone to see. Impressive.
4. Internet Bazaar Tips - Make Money Blogging. Informative blog, updated very frequently and loaded with information.
5. Grizzly Brear's Making Money Online for Beginners - I am tagging Grizzly back because his blog really is one of my favorites!!

Download Hacks and How to Avoid Them by MisterY

I recently read a real eye opener about how "hackers" can download YOUR products off of YOUR websites without paying for them. I always thought that hackers were these evil people that hacked into secret government installations and stole state secrets. Now I know that there are plenty of hackers that just help themselves to whatever they want all over the internet.
So, you may not know it but your website may be leaking hundreds, or perhaps thousands of dollars out of your sales account.
If you think you've 'hidden' your download folder then think again because there are frighteningly simple ways of 'uncovering' your secret folders that even a child could use. Pretty scary, huh?
Download Hacks and How to Avoid Them is an excellent book which uncovers all the hackers' 'secrets'. In fact the writer who, for obvious reasons, wishes to remain anonymous and is known as 'MisterY', infiltrated the hackers' secret lair to discover all their systems and techniques.
Now he has written an expose of hacker methods which shows you exactly how they work and what you can do to protect your site and your downloads from hacker attack.
He really does leave nothing out as he takes you by the hand and reveals their most closely guarded secrets.
Inside Download Hacks and How To Avoid Them you will also gain access, not only to the hackers' secrets but there is a complete Resource Center which provides all the techniques you need to use to control access to your website.
And he shows you exactly how to protect your files, products and downloads from prying eyes.
This is the real deal and this ebook is packed with VALUE (in my humble opinion).
By the way, I happen to be a personal friend of MisterY (for REAL) and he has organized a special discount for my readers and subscribers. The normal price is visible on MisterY's main sales page:
P.S I nearly forgot! Specially for my loyal readers I've arranged a discount with MisterY. The normal price is on MisterY's main sales page: www.misterysecrets.com. Don't buy it from there. Make sure you pick it up from Download Hacks and How to Avoid Them.

Todd Gross, Kevin Riley, Craig Desorcy, Grizzly Bear, Dr. Mani, Paul Meyers...
Today I feel like telling you about some of my favorite people on the internet.
Kevin Riley - Now there's a guy who churns out high quality products! He is an extremely personable guy, living in Japan. He is constantly producing new products that are really good. One of his line of products is his "Recipe for..." line. A few examples of them are: Recipe for a Newsletter (learn how to produce an effective newsletter which gets read and acted upon).
He also has a great freebie report on how to create your own Online Money Factory.
He gives wonderful advice and produces excellent products that can make YOU money. His products are also very professionally done with super graphics and videos.
Craig Desorcy - Here's another native English speaker who lives in Japan and teaches English there. He is one of the all around nicest guys online. He loves to help newbies and you can find his various instructional video tutorials in different places on the internet. He's got a great site for newbies where you can join for free and get one on one help from him. He's also got video tutorials available there. If you are a newbie, looking to learn the ropes and get ahead this is one person you want to be in touch with.
If you are interested in joining his free membership it's at www.wehelpnewbies.com
Dr. Mani Sivasubramanian (hope I spelled that right) - I just posted recently about Dr. Mani and I don't want to repeat myself. Let it suffice to say that the man is very, very special and one of THE most helpful people I have ever come across online. It is well worth your while to be on his list. Despite his success online and off this is not a blown up guru who preens in front of the rest of the IM'ers. He's fresh, original, creative and knows a heck of alot about being an infopreneur. The best part is that he likes to share his know how. Here's the link again for Dr. Mani's Niche Starter Kit.
Todd Gross - Mr. Personable, Weatherman and Internet Marketer. What a personality. He produces great videos and he's so darn convincing!!! He's another one of those nice guys who always answers his emails immediately. I always open his emails because he's got great deals to offer. They are short and too the point. Smart. If you haven't joined Todd's Free Monthly Gifts site I highly recommend you do. Every month he provides you with high quality products at no charge. A total no brainer. Get on this guy's list!!
Grizzly Bear - I don't know his real name but who cares. Grizzly has one of the best internet marketing blogs I have ever read online. When I say "the best" I mean that it's got the most no-cost information. Grizzly knows so much and shares his knowledge and opinions freely. I like him. If you want to check out his blog it's here: Make Money for Beginners. I literally stumble upon it once because it has a similar name to mine!
Paul Meyers - Probably the wittiest and most articulate guy online. He's been around for just about forever. I love following his posts in the Warrior Forum and I enjoy being on his list. I'll admit that I never purchased a product from him but not because I don't believe that they are high quality. He's very knowledgeable and informative! Oh yeah. Also extremely entertaining. Another list worth joining.
That's it for today. I hope you've enjoyed my list. Anyone you would add to this list???
Please feel free to comment!!

Dr. Mani
Ok, Friends.
Today I have to tell you about a real internet friend of mine.
His name is Dr. Mani Sivasubramanian. He is a very, very special man.
Besides being an internet marketing expert, better known as an infopreneur, Dr. Mani (in his "real life") is a pediatric cardiac surgeon with an burning desire to give and give and give to society. I don't know how he finds the time to do what he does but he is truly amazing.
Can I share with you what Dr. Mani did this week? He was so excited about Willie Crawford's fantastic team-built ebook, "20 Ways To $100 a Day" that he emailed his list and told us that he wants to GIVE OUT 10 copies of the book to people who cannot buy it right now ( it's simply not in my budget right now). He requested that whoever wants a copy post to his blog. Well, he chose 10 people for whom he personally purchased the book and I was one of them. Is he amazing or what?
Please join Dr. Mani's 24 hour challenge here: http://www.firstgiving.com/drmani.
Where you can either donate or fundraise for a good cause: Room To Read
Room to Read provides under-privileged children with opportunities to gain the lifelong gift of education, in order to break the cycle of poverty and provide the means for self-determination.
In any event, I recommend joining Dr. Mani's list. He's one of the most prolific guys on the internet. Constantly churning out reports and products. He's clever, original and a total breath of fresh air.
If you're interested in seeing what kind of products Dr. Mani has you can check out Dr. Mani's Niche Starter Kit.

DealDotCom
Ok, I absolutely must tell you about DealDotCom because you can sign up for free and refer people and then make m.oney without spending a dime.
What this site is, is a place where you can check in every morning and see what special deal is on for the next 24 hours. And I do mean special deal. Yesterday's deal was a membership site script going for about 50% of the price.
It costs nothing to sign up and the sooner you start referring people the more money you can potentially make. If you don't sign them up they'll sign up under someone else and you won't get the commissions.
By the way, this is for the information product world what www.woot.com is for the rest of the world. A place to pick up GREAT deals. You can be sure that people will be buying. Many people are setting their browsers to open up to the DealDotCom page when they open their browsers so that they can see what the current deal is first thing in the morning.
Go, no - run over there right now and get your FREE account! And tough luck if this sounds too salesy to you. It's Free, free, free and can bring you commissions and that's what counts, People!!!

George Pluss' 3 Methods of Earning Without a Website
Are you interested in learning 3 methods for earning m.oney online which are open to you even if you do NOT have your own website or list?
I just bought a great little package from George Pluss for UNDER $1!!!!!
Here's what I found in it:
$700 in 7 - How to make $700 in 7 days (not brilliant but could be useful)
Effectively Promote With Articles - a GREAT 7 page report by Josh Spaulding who is a Seargent in the U.S. army. He does marketing through article writing after 6:00 pm and makes nice income doing it. The report is excellent and is worth purchasing the entire package for!
Yahoo Cash - The author describes how she made a few hundred dollars in 30 days using only Yahoo! Answers. If you are interested in learning techniques (including black hat) for doing this - grab this report.
Zero to Fifty in 30 Days - Peter Tremayne wrote an unremarkable but solid and comprehensive guide for the newbie about how to make $50 a day in internet marketing. This book does involve the "standard" methods including product, squeeze page and autoresponder.
All in all, this package is worth WAY MORE than the 20 cents (can you believe it?) that I paid for it.
I must say in all honesty that I LOVE the packages that George Pluss puts together. He charges super ridiculous prices for good stuff.
So, if you are interested in learning some methods which do NOT require you to have your own website or list run over and grab this package while the price is still under a dollar (and even if it's above a dollar it's worth it, in my opinion!)

Yaro Starak's Blog Mastermind
A few months ago I signed up for Yaro Starak's Blog Mastermind.
I paid $47 to join, which is a steep monthly price for me, but the price was about to go up to $77 (nothing like creating that sense of urgency!) so I decided to give it a try. I believe he offered a 30 day guarantee, so I really had nothing to lose.
The way the membership works is that there is a "resources area" for paid members. In this area the members have access to all kinds of resources that Yaro has put into the membership. Stuff like interviews with other successful bloggers, audios with Yaro giving answers to questions that members have asked, video case studies where Yaro does a 15 - 20 minute critique of a member's blog (he does a new one each week).
You wouldn't believe the amount of information that is available!
Each week I receive an e-lesson in the mail and at that point I have access to all the e-lessons that came before the current one. Obviously, all the mastermind members are up to different lessons in the course. There is a special forum for members where the members can interact with each other and with Yaro and his team of mentors. People ask questions about the lessons, technical questions about how to do stuff in Wordpress, advice about blog design etc. There is alot of networking going on and relationships being created.
Each e-lesson is packed with information about that week's topic and there is also an audio available of the lesson. Often, Yaro will provide another audio or video about one of the topics covered in the lesson.
To be honest, I never realized that there were so many things to take into consideration when putting up a blog. Yaro talks alot about branding, creating what he calles "pillar articles", blog design, RSS, social proof (like showing the number of RSS subscribers to your blog only if you have over 100 subscribers, in order to impress people into wanting to subscribe as well).
Yaro talks alot about content, content, content. He believes that each blog should be turned into an authority site that winds up having a "following" of people who are waiting to hear what the blogger has to say. In this, Yaro differs greatly from the guys that promote "niche blogging", who feel that you just have to do some keyword research and slap up a blog with the purpose of pushing one or more affiliate products. These blogs may get search engine traffic but they will never get the massive amounts of traffic that authority blogs can get.
Yaro believes that you don't need to put up zillions of blogs to make money. He says that if you choose a topic that you really enjoy (many people hate their topics and just do them to make money), then you will be able to make the content interesting and subsequently you will be able to monetize your blog nicely.
He goes extensively into the topic of traffic, although, I am in my third month of membership and have not received the e-lessons on traffic yet. But, Yaro talks about different aspects of driving traffic in the various lessons and case studies. He's a big believer in leaving meaningful comments on other blogs and contributing content to other blogs. He advocates forum participation and social networking.
I believe that if you are serious about blogging and are interested in making REAL money from your blog (Yaro makes 5 figures every month) like Yaro, John Chow, Darren Rowse (the Problogger) and others it's worth digging deep into your pocket and forking over that $77 a month. By the way, you can always take just the first month and download all the unbelievable resources he's got in the membership. If you don't want to continue, just cancel after the first month. Yaro's Blog Mastermind is by far THE most extensive and all encompassing blogging course I have ever seen. This is not some $7 report. This is serious business for people who want to make serious money blogging.
If you haven't yet read Yaro's Blogging Blueprint you would do well to download it because it is a FREE report with more information in it than in many reports that cost alot of money.

Dane Bergen's PPC Prophecy

Dane Bergen from Australia sent me a review copy of his new program, PPC Prophecy which is launching TODAY, August 29. This book is good for beginner and intermediate internet marketers who are interested in making money online quickly using Pay Per Click methods that work.
Dane's grammar is terrible LOL but WHO CARES!!! This guy really knows his stuff and is making an excellent living using Pay Per Click methods (and anyway, I'm with the grammar police. You may not even notice the mistakes..).
The book doesn't only cover how to set up profitable ad campaigns. It really gives you the total picture with recommendations on howto set up your domains and how to design your minisites so that Google will like what it sees and place your ad in the best position. He advises you on how to set up your squeeze page and what should be on it. He provides sample templates for squeeze pages and emails.
Dane also gives good, solid recommendations for how to choose the right products to promote and he provides the addresses of what he claims are the absolute BEST sites for affiliate products you'll find "in your life". He even gives examples of the products he himself promotes. That is unusual with internet marketers.
He explains how to set up successful campaigns, not only Google Adwords, but also Yahoo Search Marketing and Microsoft Adcenter.
I heartily recommend PPC Prophecy!

Alex Sysoef's Easy Blogging

Here's a nice free downloadable report on Wordpress blogging by Alex Sysoef.
It's called Easy Steps to Blogging Stardom and it's a good read. Alex covers alot of stuff that you need to know if you want to start a Wordpress blog. How to install it, set it up, choose the theme, write the content to grab your readers etc. Also covered is the social bookmarking scene.
He's not a native English speaker and you can tell from the writing, but he's got so much technical knowledge that you can manage to ignore it while enjoying the content.
Take a look:

Instant Blog Cash by Dr. C (Dallas Carter and Dave Bullock)
I just watched a video called Instant Blog Cash made by Dallas Carter (otherwise known as Dr. C) about how to make money from every single person that visits your blog.
I definitely learned something new! With Adsense, for example, your visitor has to actually click on the ads for you to make money. With this system you earn money without the reader even clicking on anything. Dr. C made a 20 minute video walking you through where to find this method and how to use it in the best way. It's fast and simple. You won't make $100 a day but if you start to implement the method and do so consistently, while driving traffic to your blog (you GOTTA have traffic) you will make $$$$.
It is surely the ONLY way I have heard of to make money from every blog visitor, without them even taking action.

Humor Break - Prison VS. Work
Time for a humor break.
Here's an objective comparison between WORK and PRISON:
IN PRISON
you spend the majority of your time in an 8X10 cell.
AT WORK
you spend most of your time in a 6X8 cubicle.
IN PRISON
you get three meals a day (free).
AT WORK
you only get a break for one meal and you have to pay for it yourself.
IN PRISON
you get time off for good behavior.
AT WORK
you get rewarded for good behavior with more WORK.
IN PRISON
a guard locks and unlocks the doors for
AT WORK
you must carry around a security card and unlock open all the doors
yourself.
IN PRISON
you can watch TV and play games.
AT WORK
You get to pay all the expenses to go to work and then they deduct taxes
from your salary to pay for the prisoners.
Humm?
Which Sounds Better?
What are you waiting for? Go kill your manager... (just kidding...)

Google Page Rank
Google assigns a "page rank" to every page on the web according to its "importance" in Google's eyes. This importance is determined by a few different factors.
1. The number of links to the page from other pages
2. The quality of the links to the page. Meaning, a link from a page with a high page rank is "worth more" than a link from a page with a lower page rank.
3. The relevancy of the site that is linking to the page.
3. The anchor text which is used for the links to your site
4. The keywords on your site, in the header and titles.
Google has a toolbar which you can download in order to see the page rank of every page you're on while surfing. It's hard to know how accurate the numbers on the toolbar are, though. They are only updated quarterly, whereas page rank changes daily.
If you want to read a great article about page rank see this great article called Page Rank Explained on Yaro Starak's blog.

Your Online Money Factory
Today I have a really good, NO COST report for you to download.
The report was written by Kevin Riley, a wonderful (and funny)
internet marketer living in Japan. This report will outline for
you how to build your own Online Money Factory. You can trust Kevin as he
is one of the best "infopreneurs" around and everything about him
shouts "integrity".
What's great about the report is that it has alot of colorful
pictures illustrating how your money machine will look and work
(I'm a Taurus and I need ALOT of visualizing). There is nothing
earth shattering about this report but it is GREAT. It describes a
very common model used in internet marketing. It's a model that
really works.
It's only 22 pages long. Download it. Read it. Internalize it. Do
it once in one niche and then rinse and repeat for other niches.
It really works.

Here, Todd, whom I know and trust, does the dirty work for me. He only offers high quality freebies (!) to his members. In essence, he has already separated the wheat from the chaff for us.
You have nothing to lose. I signed up already. Go NOW to Free Monthly Gifts and pick up your first month's gifts! Let me know if you like what you find there.
